Creating thoughtful spaces shaped by comfort, memory, and the changing seasons of the Pocono Mountains.

I believe the way a place makes us feel often becomes what we remember most. Since becoming part of Babbling Brook Cottages, I have helped shape each historic cabin through lighting, texture, seasonal details, practical comfort, and the small choices that allow guests to settle in more deeply.

My work begins with a simple question: not only how should a cabin look, but how should someone feel while they are here?

Experience Behind My Writing

I do not think of a cabin as a collection of furniture and decorations. Every choice becomes part of the complete experience—from the weight of a blanket and the warmth of a lamp to the view through a window and the sound of water outside. I continually adjust and refine each space until the individual details begin to work together naturally.

Creating Atmosphere

Thoughtful Comfort

Much of hospitality is found in things guests may never consciously notice. I consider the weather, where someone is traveling from, how a rug feels beneath their feet, whether the pillows offer different levels of support, and whether an extra blanket will be within reach when the evening turns cold. These practical details help a cabin quietly work for the people staying there.

Seasonal Storytelling

Throughout the year, I transform the cabins to reflect the woods and seasons surrounding them. My goal is not simply to add seasonal décor, but to create an atmosphere that awakens memories and gives each visit its own identity. The same cabin can feel familiar to a returning guest while still offering something new to discover.

Why I Write

I write about historic cabins, seasonal atmosphere, nostalgia, romantic stays, and thoughtful hospitality because I work with these ideas every day. My perspective comes from preparing the cabins myself, watching how guests experience them, photographing the spaces, listening to returning visitors, and learning through years of trying, adjusting, and beginning again. I hope my writing helps readers understand why certain places stay with us long after we leave.
